Retailer Relationship Management 

     

Purpose:

 

Reporting to the Area Sales Representative – Transnzoia, West Pokot & Elgeyo Marakwet region, the incumbent will carry out Product demonstrations at farm level and train farmers in a bid to create a pull effect for BCS products down the supply chain.Also responsible for monitoring product adoption by farmers. 

 

Scope (global, regional or local): Transzoia, West Pokot & Elgeyo Marakwet region - West of Rift, Kenya. 

 

 

Key Tasks:

 

 

Active product promotion through farm demonstrations, field days and farmer meetings with a view to increase sales and overall BCS market share.Product stewardship through farmer training and sensitization.Identifying new market niche’ with a view to expand BCS business.Timely reporting of general market intelligence informationLinking farmers to the selected agro-dealers.Ensure there is adequate stocking of BCS products in the target areas.

 

Key Working Relation:

 

Internal - Area Sales Rep, Regional Manager External - Farmers, Retailers, Customers.

 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

A university degree in Agriculture related disciplines, preferably in Crop Protection.General knowledge of Crop Protection business alongside sound technical knowledge of varied agricultural and agronomic practices.Knowledge of computer applications.Proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages is essential to facilitate communication at the official and on the ground levels. Valid driving license- Class G (Motor cycle)
