The Vendor Manager position is for a passionate customer and brand advocate within Amazon with proven analytical capabilities, project management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize. This position supports our Vendor Manager team who are P&L owners and hands on operator with some of the world's greatest brands that have a direct selling relationship with Amazon. This VM must be an excellent communicator and excellent at prioritizing numerous tasks - this person will work cross-functionally every day with supply chain, finance, advertising, etc. to ensure that your businesses are positioned for growth an sustainable success. A great VM candidate is someone that has a "can do" attitude, is passionate about driving customer-centric outcomes, and has a track record of delivering business results. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.
Key job responsibilities
A successful Vendor Manager will be able to:
- Act as the business owner for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding of Amazon tools and resources in order to resolve defects in listings and create the best customer experience.
- Support the creation of promotions, monitor and analyze results, in order to achieve business objectives.
- Maximize Amazon’s selection opportunities by identifying gaps and working with vendors to resolve.
- Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- 3+ years of experience in vendor management, retail buying, account management, or related business development roles
- Proven track record of managing P&L responsibilities and delivering measurable business results
- Experience conducting financial analysis to evaluate business opportunities and drive revenue growth
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data to identify trends, resolve defects, and optimize business performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience coordinating across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience managing large amounts of data
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management, category management, or retail operations with direct P&L ownership
- Proven success managing relationships with major brands and driving year-over-year growth in revenue and profitability
- Experience creating and executing promotional strategies that exceed business objectives with measurable ROI
- Demonstrated ability to identify and close selection gaps, resulting in expanded catalog and improved customer experience
- Track record of advocating for customer needs and influencing product or site feature development based on customer insights
- Experience working with supply chain, finance, advertising, and merchandising teams to drive integrated business strategies
- Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools and financial modeling to support data-driven decision making

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
