We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Retail IT Systems Specialist to join our growing IT team. If you're a seasoned IT professional with a passion for convenience store technology and a knack for solving complex problems, this is the role for you.
You'll serve as a critical technical leader, taking ownership of advanced support, escalations, and implementations for our diverse range of retail and site systems. This isn't just about troubleshooting; it's about being the go-to expert who can independently manage projects, resolve critical emergencies, and drive continuous improvement across our multi-site environment. What You'll Do:
Lead Advanced Technical Support: Be the SME for complex, critical issues escalated from tier I, including issues impacting store operations.Support Retail Site Systems: Provide advanced support for a wide array of cutting-edge retail technologies, including:Point-of-Sale (POS) systemsKiosk ordering systemsKitchen Display Systems (KDS)Carwash controllers and payment devicesVideo surveillance (CCTV) and IoT devicesWireless networks, Windows endpoints, and mobile devicesDrive Solutions & Implementations: Independently manage small-to-mid-sized projects, from critical problem solutions to the implementation of new retail technology solutions (POS, IoT, mobile, CCTV, Windows endpoints).Optimize & Standardize: Manage and enforce standardized configurations across all retail locations, ensuring consistent device performance and reliability.Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.Continuous Improvement: Identify root causes of recurring issues and contribute to solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and provide guidance to tier I, IT team members.What You'll Bring:
6+ years of IT support experience, with at least 2 years in an advanced-level support role.Deep expertise in the retail industry, specifically within a multi-site convenience store or similar environment. This is a significant plus!Strong command of network protocols, network troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration for network devices.Proficiency with endpoint operating systems, including Windows 10/11, Android, and iOS.Familiarity with IT ticketing systems.Awareness of cybersecurity threats, security protocols, and PCI compliance.A systematic, problem-solving approach to complex technical challenges.Exceptional adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate shifting demands with ease.A collaborative spirit with the ability to operate effectively as an individual contributor.Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, including a rotating on-call week per month. Flexibility is key, as some duties may require work during non-standard hours, evenings, or weekends to support our 24/7 operations. Occasional travel may be required for support and implementation tasks.
