General Summary
Screens, assesses, and monitors nutrition status of patients. As a member of the intradisciplinary care team, collaborates to identify patient needs and barriers to care. Evaluates nutrition needs as they relate to symptoms, therapeutic interventions, and mutually determined treatment goals.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s). Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, precepting dietetic interns, and workshops. Maintains required continuing education requirements as mandated for maintenance of registration and license. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Completes annual clinical competencies and facility-based mandatory training. Serves as an educational resource to peers, allied health and medical professionals.

Minimum Education:
Work Experience:
1 year Knowledge of foods/nutrition, food preparation, production and supervisory/instructional techniques. Required Experience in nutrition. PreferredLicenses:
Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Upon Hire Required or Certified Nutrition Specialist Upon Hire Required and Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist within 180 days RequiredCourses and Training:
Completion of approved Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics ACEND accredited, supervised practice program. Upon Hire Required Nutrition Support Dietitian certification (CNSD). Upon Hire PreferredBenefits Offered:
