Job Description

The Restoration Technician is responsible for restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, and asbestos damage. This role involves a hands-on approach and requires the ability to work effectively in various environments. The technician will utilize both hand and power tools to perform restoration tasks, ensuring properties are returned to their pre-damage condition.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments of damaged properties to determine the extent of restoration needed.Perform water damage restoration, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes.Execute fire restoration tasks, including cleaning soot and smoke damage.Carry out mold remediation procedures to ensure safe removal and prevention of future growth.Manage asbestos abatement projects in compliance with safety regulations.Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cleaning, building, and restoring damaged areas.Provide carpet cleaning services as part of the restoration process.Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all stages of restoration.Communicate with clients regarding the restoration process and provide updates.Essential SkillsExperience in restoration services such as water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, or asbestos abatement.Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction and restoration work.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various conditions.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites.Mechanical aptitude.Strong communication skills.Ability to work in accordance with C.A.R.E Values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence).Ability to travel locally as needed.Ability to work rotating on-call shifts.Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling level heights.Ability to work in tight spaces.Ability to work with or around cleaning agents.Why Work Here

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 10-hour day shift from Monday to Friday, with no weekends required. It involves working with both hand and power tools, maintaining a clean and organized space, and the ability to work in various conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
