Position Summary
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurant. This role ensures operational excellence, high service standards, strong culinary partnership, and full compliance with company policies. The General Manager drives profitability, maintains consistency in product and service delivery, optimizes resources, and ensures an exceptional dining experience for all guests.

What will you be doing? 
As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Operational Leadership

Oversee and direct the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless execution aligned with brand standards and business objectives.Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure strong coordination between culinary and service teams.Develop and implement the annual business plan, including market analysis, sales strategies, and financial targets.Identify operational opportunities, implement process improvements, and drive efficiencies across service workflows.

Financial & Resource Management

Monitor and manage operating costs—including food, beverage, supplies, utilities, and labor—to optimize profitability.Lead inventory management processes to ensure accuracy, minimize waste, and support responsible procurement.Review financial performance regularly and implement corrective actions where needed.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and service in partnership with culinary and service leaders.Uphold stringent standards for food safety, hygiene, and sanitation across all areas.Maintain a safe and compliant working environment following regulatory, health, and safety requirements.

Conduct regular operational audits and ensure timely follow-up actions.

 

Guest Experience

Drive exceptional guest service by responding promptly to feedback and managing service recovery effectively.Foster a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.Anticipate guest needs and implement service enhancements to elevate the overall dining experience.

Leadership

Lead, inspire, and develop the restaurant team by setting clear expectations and providing coaching and mentoring.Conduct performance evaluations, identify capability gaps, and implement targeted training programs.Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and guest‑focused team culture.Demonstrate strong leadership presence on the restaurant floor and in back‑of‑house areas.

A Restaurant General Manager, serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Degree or diploma in Hotel / Restaurant Management or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in restaurant environment.Strong knowledge of restaurant operations within a fast pace Food & Beverage landscape.Proven leadership and managerial capabilities with a track record of operational excellence and outstanding customer service.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
