The technician ensures that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health and safety regulations. **Primary Responsibilities** + Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and gas-powered restaurant equipment + Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on kitchen and refrigeration equipment + Respond to service calls promptly and professionally, minimizing downtime + Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used + Work with kitchen staff and management to troubleshoot recurring issues + Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and environmental standards and procedures + Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for parts and warranty claims + Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations + Ensure the inventory of tools and parts is up to date. + Ensure work order service reports from the service department are accurate and submits the invoice to the store. + Ability to research the appropriate shipping method saving cost and time for the store and OLM Food Solutions. + Locate/print/send operation & parts manuals for equipment when requested. + Understanding of sales orders for incoming part orders, and the ability to order parts, prepare parts packages to be shipped out & service invoicing for all part orders. + Knowledge of International/Military orders, special events, ordering/preparing equipment needed, assisting in locating/purchasing/invoicing special order items. + Ability to train FBC's & DBD's regarding the equipment service department procedures and asset identification. + Ability to assist with all aspects of tradeshows; print quick fact sheets, retrieve sheets from exhibitor manuals. Experience with MS Suite required Communication/Language Skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions and product labels. Technical Competencies. Experience & knowledge in MS Office products (Excel & Word) and SAP preferred. Certifications. Forklift and palate jack certification preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license to operate yard truck. Mathematical Skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts along with performing basic math functions. Reasoning Abilities. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
