We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are looking for an experienced respite provider to spend time with a loveable male teen with special needs in his home and in the community. The ideal candidate will be confident, energetic, and patient. This role requires your willingness to engage in positive activities with the teen during respite time. You will also use your skills to help the boy make good choices in a safe and encouraging environment.
This teen loves to discuss his hobbies, which include, trains, buses, music, video games (limited screen time), and going up north with family.
Location: Wrightstown, WI
Wage: $10.66 per hour
Schedule: 10 hours per week (afternoons/early evenings, weekends)
Responsibilities:Provider direct supervision and ensure safety and wellbeing of the child Engage teen in age-appropriate and ability-appropriate activities Communicate professionally with family and agency staff as needed Give cues, prompts, and reminders to teach the teen daily living and safety skills.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED required Experience working with children with special needs; Autism, ADHD, developmental disabilitiesValid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance Willing to undergo background check
