**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
_We are offering a_ **_$10,000 Sign On Bonus_** _to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements._
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.
+ Administering therapy modalities which include, but are not limited to, Hand held Nebulizer (HHN), HHN via metered dose inhaler (HHN/MDI), Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV), Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), Pentamidine therapy. Medication administration may be included during these therapy modalities
+ Administering medical gas therapy including oxygen and Helium-Oxygen Therapy (HeO2).
+ Performing ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems. These therapies are comprised of non-invasive and invasive ventilation therapies, as well as transport of ventilator patients to diagnostic procedures
+ Performs physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing including, ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance, pulmonary function testing, bedside PFT's, metabolic monitoring, apnea monitoring, transcutaneous monitoring, capnography, and pulse oximetry and sleep apnea assessment.
+ Performs specialized procedures which including but are not limited to, CPR, bronchial lavage, transport, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, artificial and tracheostomy airway care, and body mechanics/ambulation.
**Job Requirements**
**Education Required**
+ Completion of a Respiratory Care Degree Program, which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
**Licensure Required**
+ Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
+ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
+ BLS certification (through an approved AHA program)

Our facility is a collaboration between St. Luke’s Health and a team of specialized physicians—focused on General and Interventional Cardiology, Sports Medicine, and Orthopedics, including Total Joint Replacement and Spine Care.
**Pay Range**
$23.11 - $34.38 /hour
