Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) Full-time, Night Shift
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** 12 Hour Night Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** Performs routine and more advanced respiratory and diagnostic procedures. Participates in education and training of staff and serves as a resource person. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne. **What you will Do:** Provides education and serves as a resource. Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures. Performs diagnostic testing. Provides documentation. Participates in report. Draws arterial or capillary blood sample from patient and performs blood gas analysis. Implements respiratory therapy protocols. Performs breath alcohol testing. Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures. Using his/her knowledge of the principles of growth and development and related needs, communicates and intervenes in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient served which includes: Birth-28 days: Neonate 1-18 Months: Infant 18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler 3-6 Yrs: Pre-School Aged 6-12 Yrs: School-Aged 12-18 Yrs: Adolescents 18-65 Yrs: Adults 65+ Yrs: Geriatrics **Hours/Schedule:** _Full-time_ _Shift: Nights 6pm - 6am_ _Will include weekend and holiday rotation._ **Minimum** **Qualifications:** Associate’s Degree: Respiratory Therapy. Current Iowa CRT or RRT License upon hire. BLS; ACLS; PALS; NRP if working in NICU. Certified Breath Alcohol Technician at Cedar Falls and Waterloo. Mandatory Reporter. High language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability. Personal computer.
