$60/hr + $500 Bonus after 2 weeks Amergis Healthcare is actively looking for Respiratory Therapists that would be interested in a 13 Week, Full-Time Contract at a Hospital in Urbana, IL. Additional details of the contract are below: Position: Respiratory Care Practitioner Location: Urbana, IL Local Pay Rate : $60/hr Total Travel Package: $2,362/week *Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for travel package* + Taxable Wages = $1,116/week + Weekly Housing Allowance = $770.00/week + Weekly Meals & Incidentals Allowance = $476.00/week Estimated Weekly Take Home after taxes= $2,071.84 Schedule: + Overnight Shift (36 hours/week) + 3x12 (7:00PM to 7:30AM) + Weekend rotation (E/O or 3 out of 6 weeks) Duration: + 13 Weeks Duties & Responsibilities: + Disassembles, washes, rinses, dries, packages, processes, and maintains respiratory equipment; assists with cleaning and stocking respiratory-related supplies on inpatient units. + Prepares, tests, and checks respiratory therapy equipment for safe and proper operation; reports malfunctioning equipment to management. + Evaluates patient response to respiratory care per established care plans and functions as a clinical role model with strong judgment, technical competency, and knowledge base. + Accurately charts on respiratory flow sheets and care plans in the EMR and ensures accurate charging. + Completes assessments on ventilated patients and all patients receiving respiratory care services; recommends timely interventions and escalates concerns appropriately. + Documents procedures, patient responses, and compliance with sleep therapy requirements; communicates adverse effects and compliance issues to the Respiratory Care Practitioner and physicians. + Evaluates patients for routine respiratory therapy on inpatient units and in the Emergency Department. + Obtains and analyzes arterial, venous, and capillary blood gases.
