Job Summary
System Administrator and Subject Matter Expert for Respiratory Care informatics. Plan, delegate, coordinate and monitor Respiratory Care Managers and Clinical Staff. Plan, organize, and provide in-service education to internal staff and coordinate Respiratory Care programs to provide students with optimal clinical experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for documentation and workflow management. Plan, test, educate, and implement changes. Develop and maintain reports based on system configuration and departmental needs.
Respiratory Care Services and Sleep Disorders Center Information Services Liaison.
Responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating Respiratory Care processes and systems integration.
Responsible for plan, delegate, and monitor Performance improvement for Respiratory Care Services and Sleep Disorders Center.
Plan, delegate, and monitor services performed by Respiratory Managers and Clinical Staff.
Assist the Director with the selection and evaluation of departmental personnel.
Assume responsibility for the department(s) I the absence of the director.
Maintain records and coordinate, as indicated, to comply with Sleep Accreditation.
Plan, organize, and provide inservice education to Respiratory Care Staff, Maintain inservice records and CEU records in accordance with the WV Board of Respiratory Care regulations.
Develop, plan, and organize conferences for Respiratory Care and Sleep Disorders Center.
Plan, organize, schedule, and perform Respiratory Care educational offerings to nursing, residents, other ancillary departments, and patients.
Coordinate with Respiratory Care programs to provide students with optimal clinical experience. Serve on advisory board(s) as hospital(s) representative.
Represent department(s) on various councils and committees relating to patient education, system administration and integration, quality, performance improvement, etc., as indicated and/or assigned.
Plan, coordinate, and review new equipment trials. Coordinate staff education on new equipment.
Develop and maintain Respiratory Care Service Line Policies and Procedures.
Coordinate new employee orientation and maintain all records as indicated and/or assigned.
Develop, maintain, and implement Respiratory Care Service Line competency program.
Participate in activities to further the advancement of Respiratory Care, such as outreach, recruitment, retention, and community education activities.
Develop, maintain, and revise departmental website(s) as indicated and/or assigned.

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to interpret information in terms of patient needs; 20 knowledge of growth and development; 30 understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Education
• Bachelor's Degree (Required) substitution of Associate's with 5 years clinical experience in full-service Respiratory Care department
Credentials
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Licensed Resp Therapist Regist (Required)
