About the job
The medical advisor provides proactive strategic leadership co-creating the overall brand strategy to ensure appropriate use of Sanofi medicines in the UK and Ireland. Focusing on Immunology across both Dermatology and Respiratory therapeutic areas, the role offers opportunities to expand expertise and impact as the business evolves.
Main Responsibilities:
Utilise strong business acumen, and acting as a key strategic business partner to the organisationInitiate and drive projects to raise standards of careLead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysisDeep expertise in immunology and its applications across dermatology and respiratory conditions, including product knowledge and competitor dataDrive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and non-commercial functions including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical teamsCultivate and maintain relationships with top clinicians across both dermatology and respiratory specialtiesDrive collaborative relationships with above-country colleagues to ensure UK involvement and strategic input into global and regional plansGeneral understanding of impact of evolution of healthcare systems through ICS transformationLead creation of implementation science plansAbility to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate across related therapeutic areasAbout you
Proactive enterprise leadership acting as a role model for medical affairs.
Qualifications:
Healthcare professional (including medical, pharmacy or nursing) or BSc/PhD in biological/medical science Industry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience mandatoryStrategic knowledge of the ABPI code beyond copy approval mandatoryWorking knowledge of UK Healthcare System's and external stakeholder managementGood understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, RWE and data gaps analysisThorough understanding of drug approval process and reimbursement (MHRA, NICE, SMC etc)Ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areasExcellent communication skills including driving challenging discussionsUnderstanding of immunological mechanisms that underpin both dermatological and respiratory conditions
