Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Respiratory LPN Home Care nurse to join our dedicated team providing in-home respiratory care to patients throughout the region. As a Respiratory Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care by supporting patients with respiratory conditions, administering treatments, and educating families on proper equipment use and symptom management. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients in the comfort of their own homes while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Ideal candidates will have current LPN licensure, experience with respiratory care or home health services, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Respiratory Therapy, UHS Home Care Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $21.03 - $29.78 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities + Conducts patient assessments and travel arrangements for oxygen-dependent individuals + Performs pulse oximetry and other routine respiratory therapy procedures per physician orders + Educates patients, families, and caregivers on equipment use (e.g., oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers) + Completes accurate, timely documentation and reports results appropriately + Troubleshoots and maintains respiratory equipment + Maintains current NYS LPN license and attends continuing education sessions + Participates in community events and promotes patient satisfaction + Tracks and supports patient compliance with prescribed therapies Position Qualifications Minimum Required: + Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. + Current NY State LPN license + CPR certification Preferred: + Previous experience in a home care setting, as well as scheduling experience. ----- Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
