As Respiratory Supervisor II on this team, you will oversee your designated Respiratory Care Unit, ensuring caregivers perform the exceptional work for which our hospitals are renowned. You will focus on essential management tasks, such as performance evaluations, budget reviews, policy updates and regulatory compliance, to drive our enterprise forward in delivering world-class, unmatched healthcare.

A caregiver in this position works variable shifts in partnership with their peers to ensure coverage is provided from 4:00am - 12:00am every day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

This is a hybrid position, with remote work days and scheduled on-site work days at all Ohio locations.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Oversee and direct all activities regarding Respiratory Therapy personnel. Assist with the development of employee schedules, maintain employee records and ensure accurate timekeeping. Assist with employee performance evaluations and gives appropriate feedback. Assist staff with identifying and utilizing learning resources available within the hospital/community. Assist with the development of an ongoing program of orientation, training and education for new employees and students. Participate in the development and maintenance of a performance improvement program. Take measures to continuously improve the quality of services delivered. Participate in the writing, reviewing, and updating of the Respiratory Therapy policies and procedures. Assist with the development of the departmental budget, ensuring the availability of equipment and supplies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and state law requirements. Participate in long-term strategic planning and marketing of department services. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program Associate's Degree Registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)  Licensed by the Ohio Board for Respiratory Care (RCP) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) Certification through the NBRC and three years of experience in a neonatal/pediatric area (at sites where appropriate) Three years of experience in critical care, including leadership, education and/or research activities Neonatal/Pediatric experience (at sites where appropriate) 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Bachelor's Degree 

Physical Requirements:

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.May require sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
