Mary Greeley Medical Center (MGMC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Care and Sleep Manager to lead and coordinate services across inpatient respiratory care, diagnostics, pulmonary rehab, and neurodiagnostics. This leadership role is essential to ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence across multiple cardiopulmonary service lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations and staffing for respiratory care, diagnostics (PFTs, Bronchs, EKGs, Echos), pulmonary rehab, EEG, and sleep services. Provide management and therapist call coverage as needed. Maintain Blood Gas Lab accreditation standards and quality control. Lead patient care conferences and discharge planning, including the Transition Care Program. Coordinate annual Skills Day and ongoing staff competency assessments. Train staff on new equipment and clinical initiatives. Collaborate with medical directors and department leadership on quality management and capital planning. Maintain accreditation for the Sleep Lab, including AASM site visits and reporting. Manage internal and external referrals and departmental work queues.

About the Role:

The Respiratory Care and Sleep Manager plays a critical role in ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development across a diverse range of cardiopulmonary services. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across departments and disciplines.

Required Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire. Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an RRT.

Preferred Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Sleep Disorder Specialist certification.
