Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Resource RN, you will provide diverse professional nursing services, delivering quality patient care, regulatory requirements, and nursing scope of practice. You are responsible for collaboratively developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans.

Every day you will directly engage in patient care, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, coordinate, and delegate tasks to the patient care team. You will continuously educate patients, families, and staff, implementing interventions for optimal outcomes and managing issues in a physician's absence.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate accountability for care quality, with authority to direct care and utilize resources efficiently, including comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.

Conducts care assessments and interprets assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs.Successfully completes system-based and hospital specific competencies.Maintains accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrates into plan of care.In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering care to the patient. Implements a plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.Possesses knowledge of medications, and administers safely and accurately.Appropriately delegates and supervises routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.

Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing, upon hireRegistered Nurse: KY, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hire andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days andPediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - monthsNeonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days
