Resort Manager

The new 31 Villa resort in Scottsdale, adjacent to Troon North Golf Club, is seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee the operations of the resort/villas. This person will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including initial procedural development, directing and coordinating guest service activities, reservations, rate development/maintenance, housekeeping, and other operational duties.

Essential Duties:

Prepares and manages the annual budget related to revenue and expenses for the Villa Resort Implement policies and procedures for the resort in compliance with all company standards relating to the quality of products and services. Support implementation and management of the reservation system and its associated operating standards. Develop and implement pricing strategies both via consumer direct channels and via external channels (OTA’s Air BnB, etc.) in collaboration with the GM and revenue manager. Develop and implement operating procedures in collaboration with the GM. Scheduling staff in accordance with budget guidelines. Maintains master and floor level key control. Verifies that accurate rooms status information is maintained and communicated. Maintains proper accounting procedures are being adhered too in alignment with the accounting/finance department. Conducts walkthroughs of all locations throughout the facility to evaluate the overall physical condition and operation. Assures compliance with codes and other regulatory requirements. Maintains working relationships and communicates with other department managers. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving guest challenges. Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to reservation manager, night auditor, general maintenance technician. Assures that effective orientation and training are executed at onboarding with regards to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs to assure quality standards. Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. Responsible for implementing and maintaining exceptional service to achieve guest satisfaction. Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department and property Conducts staff meetings with key associates/department leaders. Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the General Manager Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

 

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Demands: Frequently stands, walks and sits; regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks and hears; occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, pushes, and pulls; regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

 

Environment/Noise: Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions; occasionally works in wet or humid (non-weather) conditions; occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles; toxic, or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.

 

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or coworkers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.

Knowledge of a computerized maintenance tracking system.
