Job Description YOUR TEAM As part of the Resort Operations team, which focuses on delivering unparalleled guest experiences and achieving exceptional financial performance, this role contributes to the strategic leadership and daily excellence of the entire property. You will report directly to the Managing Director, collaborating closely with all Executive Committee members and department heads. The team is currently working on elevating quality assurance scores, implementing innovative guest service protocols, and driving key profitability initiatives across all divisions.
YOUR ROLE As Resort Manager, you are the strategic operational leader responsible for the day-to-day success of the Resort, ensuring it aligns with the vision and values of Rosewood Hotel Group. This role is pivotal in translating high-level strategy into actionable plans, leading our core operational departments, and safeguarding our renowned standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to exceed guest expectations, foster a vibrant and productive culture for our associates, and achieve our financial objectives, thereby strengthening the reputation and performance of our brand.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE Provide comprehensive leadership and strategic direction to the operations team, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Culinary, Information Technology, Sustainability, Security and Wellness ensuring seamless collaboration and unified guest experience. Drive the resort's financial performance by assisting in the development and execution of the Annual Budget, Business Plan, and Forecasts, with a constant focus on identifying new revenue opportunities and optimizing operational costs. Champion a culture of exceptional quality and safety by overseeing all compliance programs (LQA, OMR, Guest Feedback), conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all fire, life, and safety standards are never compromised. Act as the Managing Director designate in their absence, making timely and informed decisions to ensure business continuity and address any unforeseen events or opportunities. Mentor, develop, and performance-manage the executive team, fostering their professional growth through regular feedback, formal appraisal processes, and succession planning to build a robust leadership pipeline. Spearhead initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty by actively reviewing feedback, driving improvement plans, and overseeing the repeat guest recognition program. Build and maintain strong, active relationships within the local business community and with travel industry partners to enhance the resort's market presence and reputation. Skills and Experience A minimum of ten years of progressive senior leadership experience within the luxury hospitality industry demonstrates a proven track record in managing complex, multi-departmental operations. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field, complemented by outstanding strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Exceptional business and financial acumen, with experience developing budgets, analyzing P&L statements, and implementing strategies to drive profitability and manage costs effectively. Exemplary leadership skills demonstrated ability to mentor senior managers, build high-performing teams, and cultivate a positive, engaged, and values-driven work environment. Experience in remote island locations Ultra-luxury resort leadership experience of at least five years Aspirational upward mobility to Managing Director role within 2-3 years
