About the job you’re considering

The Resistance Spot Welding Specialist will support our client's vehicle assembly process engineering organization. You will provide launch, sustainment and Innovation support to all assembly plants in the North America region.

Your roleEnsure that line integrators and resistance spot welding equipment suppliers are delivering a product that meets the company’s resistance spot welding equipment specs within the North America region.Participate in throughput analysis and processes.Work closely with Product Engineering, Material Suppliers, Equipment Suppliers, Equipment Integrators, etc.Enable team to meet vehicle timeline deliverables on time while maintaining quality requirementsManage tracking documents to meet program timing requirementsSupport problem resolution between Product Eng, Manufacturing Eng, and Plant Manufacturing Operations.Ensure product conformance to designProvide onsite support during execution and launch phases of the programSupport in the integration, start-up and debug of plant floor Resistance spot weld equipmentCoordinate business process and re-engineering projectsReport-out as needed, on status of systems at operating unit(s)Optimize operating unit(s) on Resistance spot weld system to improve productivity, cost and qualityWork with other engineers, skilled trades and managers to accomplish cross-functional projects, provide project cost and timing estimates, and support plant product program launchesImplement common Resistance spot weld and inspection systemsDevelop and support common Resistance spot weld Technology standardsProvide technical direction to suppliers and internal plant teams.Conduct Resistance spot weld equipment buyoffs

Your skills and experienceWe are looking for candidates with Minimum Education: High School DiplomaWe are looking for candidates with Minimum 5 years of resistance spot welding experienceDeep understanding of resistance spot weld technologies and applicationsDemonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in Resistance spot weld systemsKnowledge of adhesive and sealer procedures, weld/resistance spot weld documentation and build shop supportKnowledge of Tooling and Equipment Troubleshootingknowledge of safe operating procedures within a manufacturing environmentExceptional cross-functional communication skills of complex issuesStrong problem solving skillsStrong organization and project management skillsIntermediate skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to manage a multitude of assignments with high levels of composure and effective implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:We are looking for candidates with 2 years in Automotive industry, supporting launch activities in body shop and plantsThorough understanding of automotive body shop processesAbility to create execute a well-organized validation project where standardized work is not available.
