The Logistics Resilience Manager is a critical role to enhance resilience within the LCST (Logistics Commodities and Services Transformation) programme.

The role focuses on developing and embedding strategies, processes, and tools to ensure the continuity and adaptability of logistics operations in response to disruptions. The postholder will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders across Defence and industry to strengthen the end-to-end resilience of the logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Supply Chain Resilience:Develop, implement, and maintain resilience strategies for logistics operations in line with Leidos UK and LCST objectivesConduct risk assessments and scenario planning to identify vulnerabilities in the supply chain and logistics processesSupport the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans specific to the LCST logistics networkMonitor, and assess performance, highlighting risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesStakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary logistics resilience liaison between internal LCST teams, MoD stakeholders, partner organisations, and key suppliersFacilitate collaborative resilience initiatives, working groups, and workshops to drive improvements across the logistics networkSupport supplier capability building through engagement, training, and joint risk/resilience exercisesProvide regular resilience updates, including recommendations for continuous improvementIncident Management & Recovery:Support the logistics sector’s response to major incidents and disruptions, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal operational impactCoordinate cross-functional response teams and act as the point of contact for resilience-related issuesCapture lessons learned from disruptions and ensure they are embedded into future processesCompliance & Standards:Maintain alignment with MoD policy, UK Government resilience frameworks, and best practice in logistics continuity

Essential Experience & Skills:

Strong understanding of operational logistics, supplier management, and Defence supply chain principlesDemonstrated ability to integrate resilience initiatives, from development to operational implementationExperience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externallyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk scenarios

Desired Experience & Skills:

Proven experience in resilience, business continuity, incident management or supply chain risk management within a logistics, defence, or complex supply chain environmentBackground in supplier relationship managementDemonstrated ability to integrate resilience initiatives, from development to operational implementationPrevious experience using Power BI to transform data into meaningful insights would be considered advantageous

Qualifications:

Previous experience in any of the following: supply chain management, logistics, business continuity, risk management, or related field

Personal Attributes:

Proactive and solutions-focused mindsetHighly collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).

Pay Range:£40,600.00-£52,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
