As a Residential Home Coordinator, you will oversee two residential locations, ensuring the smooth operation and high quality of care provided. Your responsibilities will include supervising at least four team members, developing their schedules, coordinating emergency responses, and meticulously implementing Individualized Support Plans (ISPs). You will also manage the daily functions of the homes, all while adhering to the Department of Mental Health's certification principles to create a nurturing and conflict-free atmosphere for individuals served.

Key Responsibilities:
· Empower individuals served by ensuring their safety and welfare, fostering a warm and conflict-free atmosphere.
· Exceed licensing and certification requirements, constantly striving for the highest standards of care.
· Guide Direct Support Professionals through incidental teaching and develop engaging daily activity schedules.
· Advocate for individual rights, actively contributing to Individual Support Plan meetings and RN visits.
· Educate staff on clients’ medical needs, preferences, and compliance, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of medications and potential side effects.
· Manage all residential documentation, including daily notes, goal tracking, and health records.
· Conduct thorough audits and ensure accurate and timely documentation of authorized services and supports.
· Regularly assess the physical condition of homes, guaranteeing health, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
· Maintain essential safety kits and review Medication Administration Records (MARS) for compliance.
· Document event reports, provide crucial coverage during staff vacancies, and monitor mileage usage within budget.
· Contribute to the development of positive behavioral support plans, accompany clients to medical appointments, and oversee client finances.
· Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on monthly RN visits, special diet planning, adaptive equipment training, and Quality Management follow-up.
· Ensure the completion of safety drills, provide training in special diets, and document daily exceptions.
· Provide 24/7 on-call support, arrange coverage during absences, cover open shifts as needed, and actively participate in organizational committees.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age.
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· One year of experience working in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities or successful completion of training in the Missouri Quality Outcomes approved by the Division of Development Disabilities regional office required.
Additional Qualifications:
· Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance are required.
· Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
· Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence with clarity and professionalism.
· Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, employees, family members, and other contacts, utilizing person-centered language.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
· Problem-solving skills for addressing issues in standardized situations with multiple variables.
· Competency in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Reliable means of communication.
· Strong reading and comprehension skills to understand written materials and the ability to write clearly and legibly.
Physical Requirements
· Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
· Repetitive Movements: Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
· Sitting and Standing: Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
