Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

In this role, you will lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for clients. You’ll play a key role in maintaining program standards, supporting staff development, and promoting effective communication across the treatment team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform technician duties under supervision of the Program Director or designee

Oversee daily client activities and ensure compliance with program rules

Assist with client orientation regarding program rules and rights

Schedule BHTs and ensure adequate staffing coverage

Interview, hire, and train new BHT staff

Monitor staff training compliance and track progress via Relias Learning

Develop individualized training plans and conduct supervision meetings

Maintain documentation in compliance with CARF, state regulations, and company policies

Lead monthly staff meetings and trainings

Oversee UA and medication management procedures

Support staff in facilitating educational groups and maintaining documentation

Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical staffings

Promote communication between BHTs and the treatment team

Demonstrate commitment to organizational goals

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field; OR

High school diploma and two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, including one (1) year in a supervisory role

Required License/Certification

Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance

Completion of detoxification training (as applicable) within 3 months of employment

Behavioral Management training within 30 days of hire:

-CPI for Residential programs

-Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programs

Medication Administration training within 30 days of hire (not required for Outpatient programs)

Completion of 36 hours of training within a two-year period per 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1

Additional Qualifications

Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and treatment modalities

Familiarity with program policies and applicable regulations

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to lead, coordinate, and evaluate program services

Commitment to team collaboration and continuous improvement
