Resident Services Director

In this job, every day you will…

1. Be responsible and accountable for directing personal care attendants, including written and oral reports and recommendations to the Executive Director and other health services leaders.

2. Ensures that resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are followed by all personnel.

3. Ensures that health services are provided according to Prestige policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and regional nursing consultant directions.

4. Performs and participates in pre-move-in Level of Care determination on all resident applicants, ensuring accuracy following Prestige and state regulatory standards. Coordinating with management team in move-in process and orientation of new residents and their representatives.

5. Completes a Service Plan for each resident per Prestige policy and assures that levels of care are accurate and appropriately identified.

6. Responsible for prompt monitoring of changes in resident health status, including documentation and notification of resident family member or personal representative and/or physician as indicated in community policy and procedures.

7. Acts as the liaison with physicians, physician's assistants or nurse practitioners through regularly scheduled review of resident service plans, medication records and physician orders.

8. Responsible for new personal care staff and current staff required orientation and on-going training, and provide in-service training to all personnel.

Education & Experience you need to qualify:

You will need an Associate degree from an accredited college, with a minimum of one year experience in geriatric setting and one year experience in a direct supervisory position or equivalent experience. A current First Aid and CPR card is a must. Bring some excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills. Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee management situations. Staff development and training skills helpful.
