Opportunity :

Parsons is now hiring for a Resident Engineer in Southern California to support upcoming project in Santa Monica for pier construction and renovation.


Individual in this role will typically manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a large project. Applies extensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized for installation. Incumbent is thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected. In addition to construction supervision, the incumbent is also responsible for field administration, procurement, and field engineering. Willingness to relocate to construction site locations is expected. This is initially a casual hire status role.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer Duties in accordance with Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM)

Review Contractor Requests for Information and assist with negotiation of Contract Change Orders

Write Daily Reports, Review Inspector’s Reports, Weekly Statements of Working Days

Schedule specialty subconsultant work, e.g., material testing, QA survey

Review test results, submittals, work plans

Perform field inspection, as requested

Document jobsite progress and photographs



Requirements :


Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15 years or more of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.

Skills :


Requires extensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices. Demonstrated effective managerial capability is also required, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.

Salary Range: $61.88 - $111.39
