Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Engineer – Wet Services to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of wet services systems in various construction projects throughout the region.

Develop and review wet services engineering designs, including plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systemsEnsure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standardsCoordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet services systems into overall project designsConduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and quality of wet services systemsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to wet services on construction sitesPrepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawingsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectivelyProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and techniciansStay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in wet services engineering

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in wet services engineering, with a focus on plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systemsProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferredProven experience in construction site supervision and project managementStrong knowledge of UAE building codes and regulations related to wet servicesProficiency in AutoCAD or similar design softwareExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with construction industry practices in the UAEWillingness to travel to various project sites within Abu Dhabi and the surrounding areas
