Residency and Fellowship Programs Coordinator, Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences

The University of Virginia’s Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences Graduate and Medical Education (GME) program seeks a Residency and Fellowship Programs Coordinator to provide comprehensive support in the management of program activities, staff, and projects. Working closely with the current residency coordinator to support all facets of the program, the ideal candidate will demonstrate independence in understanding and interpreting policy and exercising judgement to add value to the GME program. This position will perform various duties related to medical education program coordination ensuring the seamless execution of clinical rotations and the effective communication of expectations to program participants. The ideal candidate must have attention to detail, a positive attitude, be able to take initiative, and enjoy contributing to the entire unit’s goals.

Job Description:

Perform all duties of a Medical Education Program Coordinator.Plan and support events.Understand and utilize residency software to accomplish team goals and compliance.Provide information and communicate expectations and news to program participants. Communicate and monitor compliance of relevant policies, procedures, and standards.Collect and interpret data regarding recruitment, enrollment, progress, retention, and graduation of program participants.Monitor and assist with the completion of graduation requirements.Coordinate program evaluation and track improvements and changes based on feedback. Provide planning and analysis.Collaborate with program team to fulfill reporting requirements.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma/GED

Experience: 1+ year relevant experience required.

Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. This is a non exempt level benefited position. Learn more here:

This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability.
