TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a talented Reservoir Engineer to support reservoir evaluation, dynamic modeling, production forecasting, and development planning for both operated and non‑operated assets. You will be a key contributor in delivering high‑quality subsurface insights that shape field development strategy, reserves maturation, and long‑term asset performance.
ActivitiesYour Impact
As part of the Reservoir Development & Growth team of Subsurface department, you will:
Perform reservoir engineering analysis using 2G, reservoir, and production data to define modeling approaches and make recommendations to discipline leads.Build dynamic simulation models and generate both constrained and unconstrained production profiles to support FDP, budget cycles, long‑term planning, and investment decisions.Develop Integrated Asset Models and run production forecasts to meet key development validation milestones (QRs, MRs, RevG&R, Comgate).Contribute to FDP, RMP, RSP for greenfield developments and support updates of FDPs, post‑drill analyses, and full‑field reviews.Define reservoir data acquisition programs and contribute to well prognoses.Provide timely reservoir engineering inputs during appraisal and development planning, including PBU analysis, PVT supervision, and special core analysis.Uphold strong HSE standards and participate in continuous improvement programs. Candidate ProfileWhat We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Education: Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering.Experience: At least 5 years in reservoir engineering, field management, and development activities. Exposure to exploration/appraisal wells or field development execution is advantageous.Technical Skills: Proficiency with reservoir engineering software such as MBAL, GAP, PROSPER, PETREL, ECLIPSE, INTERSECT; strong understanding of geophysics, geology, and production technology.Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, self‑driven, effective communication, and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
