The **entry level Reservoir Engineer located in Houston, Tx** is responsible for assisting in delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable products and services to our customers. The job consults with operations groups as needed to support the area of expertise and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of product and service delivery and formally communicates findings. The Reservoir Engineer actively participates in promoting new technology and services offerings and supports the PL in risk management and applying lessons learned to improve job design and execution as related to the area of expertise. They provide real-time support to operations as required.
+ Provide expert technical assistance through our Customer Care Center, addressing client inquiries on reservoir simulation and reservoir engineering activities with clarity and efficiency.
+ Collaborate directly with clients on-site to troubleshoot, guide, and support their use of SLB technology and workflows, ensuring optimal satisfaction and successful outcomes.
+ Deliver high-quality training through our NExT public training programs, empowering users to master our software technologies and improve their workflow capabilities.
+ Engage in ongoing training and career development opportunities offered within the company to enhance technical skills, domain knowledge, and customer engagement capabilities.
+ Provide technical support in the area of expertise throughout the Sales and Product and Service Delivery process.
+ Assist as required with the development of technical job designs for PLs.
+ Assist with identifying areas where new and cost effective techniques can be applied.
+ Explore opportunities for value-added products and services.
+ Consult with Design/Technical Engineer role as required to optimize the technical design.
+ Assist in real-time incident response, recovery, and investigation as related to the area of expertise.
+ Assist in evaluating technical viability and overall appraisal of tenders as related to the area of expertise.
+ Remain current on new technologies.
+ Maintain customer visibility through active participation in professional society activities and calls for papers.
+ Understand the competition’s technical offering.
+ Participate in external technical societies and communities.
+ Contribute, write and review technical publications.
+ As a Reservoir Engineer in the team, you will be developing knowledge and experience on integrated and multidisciplinary workflows. Previous experience in reservoir simulation modeling is a plus.
**Minimum Qualifications and Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum engineering.
+ 0-3 Years as a Reservoir Simulation Engineer.
+ Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
+ Willingness to travel as required for on-site support and training.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
+ Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
+ Experience in training delivery is a plus.
+ Experience with Python programming language, Artificial and Machine Learning technology is a plus.
