The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide. Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview As a Reservations Manager, you would be responsible for managing the reservations process and operation in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. You will manage a team of 6 and report directly to the Assistant Director of Revenue Management. The duties of this role include, but is not limited to, the following: Manage daily Reservations processes and operations to include, but not limited to, room inventory and availability, group rooming lists and blocks, cut-off dates and restrictions, occupancy, selling guest rooms, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation Manage and communicate information regarding hotel occupancy, promotion, special reservation procedures, operational issues and special events Serve as liaison with Reservations teams company-wide Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, providing professional development and delivering recognition and reward Recruit, interview and train team members Calculate, prepare and generate designated reports, including, but not limited to OAR and Master Monthly Develop and revise forecasts The typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm (hours may vary depending on business needs). Qualifications At least 1-2 years of prior leadership experience At least (one) 1 year of Hotel experience in Front Office, Revenue Management, Reservations, or Sales (One) 1 year of working with PMS system OnQ and R&I expeirence is a plus
