Job Description

Specific Reservations Duties

To carry out all duties in line with the departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance).To provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or specialTo be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products.To carry out cleaning as required.To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.To input reservations into our PMSTo ensure Guarantees and Payment Methods are attached to all bookings.To take reservation calls in line with LQA standards.To allocate guest preferences, VIPs, traces, etc.To upsell all aspects of the hotelTo issue confirmation lettersTo ensure our 3rd Party websites are maintained to a 90%+ response score.To update our PMS with all 3rd Party and Guest RequestsTo input of Group rooming lists & communication with the events team for group informationTo chase potential corporate guests and liaising information to the sales teamTo check arrivals on a daily basis and extending the guest services to future guestsTo manage of the Marker Reservations email and responding in a timely mannerTo deal with regular corporate bookers and maintaining strong relationshipsTo check no-show charges on a daily basis and handle billingTo cross-check the online websites and open/close availability when requiredTo profile merging and managementTo communicate with reception, Spa, and restaurant regarding availabilityTo update events logTo issue deposit invoices for individual travel agent reservationsTo check commission invoice in line with converted business

Qualifications

Must have the right to work in Ireland / EU full time.

At least one Year Reception or reservations experience in a luxury hotel

Strong command of  Written and Spoken English

Always thinking one step ahead to anticipate guests needs

To attend appraisal reviews when requested by Head of DepartmentTo understand and comply with the hotel’s employee handbookTo attend departmental daily briefingsTo attend monthly departmental meetings/ General Team Meetings, ECCM when required.To attend training sessions as per the departmental training plan or as when required by management.To assist as much as reasonable in the coaching and training of new associates.To develop a strong working relationship with colleagues in your department and related departmentsTo adhere to the hotel’s grooming procedures.To clock in and out of the Timepoint at the start and finish of each shift and for breaks. To inform your manager if you did not receive your break entitlement.
