Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 1960 Ivy Creek Blvd., Durham, NC 27707.
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Researcher is responsible for prospective and retrospective health economic and/or epidemiologic research activities under the direction of the principal investigator and project manager for Carelon Research clients OR Public Policy Institute (PPI).
How You Will Make an Impact:
Supports research activities for Health Outcomes, Epidemiology or PPI project managers in at least two of the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting (with respect to statistical results).Collaborates with the project managers and/or study team to support the research functions to bring high quality reports deliverables, presentations, and other milestones to fruition.Utilizes industry-standard health economic and/or epidemiologic analytical and statistical techniques.Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, or related field.One (1) year in any occupation with experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.One (1) year in any occupation with experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field (experience and skills can be gained during university education) must include:One (1) year of experience conducting prospective or retrospective health economic and/or epidemiologic research activities.Experience must also include:Statistical programming languages such as: SAS, R, or other programming languages for conducting data management and statistical data analysis required in healthcare research.Experience with primary or secondary data sources and data collection methods for scientific research, such as in how medical claims data, electronic medical records and other data sources are generated, and application of such data sources in designing and conducting rigorous healthcare research in the US; Experience in prospective or retrospective observational research methodologies and deploying these research methodologies in healthcare research.Experience developing and presenting peer-review quality research publications in scientific posters, scientific journal manuscript format.Experience articulating study rationale and developing study objectives in support of developing scientific study proposals.Job Level:
