The Pederick laboratory is seeking a **_Research Technologist_** to join our lab in the Department of Neuroscience. Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator and laboratory members, the technologist will perform experiments and analysis involving mouse models to investigate the precise formation of neural circuits during brain development. This role offers an opportunity to make substantial scientific contributions to ongoing projects with hands-on experience with cutting-edge neuroscience research techniques. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment, professional development, and growth opportunities **Specific Duties and Responsibilities** + Conduct complex laboratory experiments and assays following established protocols. + Perform molecular biology techniques and specialized immunohistochemistry. + Analyze neural cell populations and types using advanced neuroanatomical methods. + Assist with in vivo mouse experiments. + Maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies. + Support animal husbandry for the laboratory mouse colony. + Contribute to general laboratory maintenance (up to 30% of role). **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field. + Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a High School Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. **Preferred Qualifications** + Background and proficiency in molecular and cell biology, + Some related post-undergraduate work experience, Classified Title: Research Technologist Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CC Starting Salary Range: $15.70-$26.25 HRLY (Targeted $40,000.00 Annually; Commensurate with experience) Employee group: Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Hybrid/SOM East Baltimore Campus Department name: SOM Neuroscience Personnel area: School of Medicine The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting.
