Research Technologist - #Staff

We are seeking a casual **_Research Technologist_** who will be responsible for an ongoing project investigating cardiovascular disease under the direct supervision of the faculty investigator.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate and perform experiments and be responsible for general laboratory organization and upkeep in the cardiology laboratory.
+ Perform laboratory experiments by following common protocols or with instruction
+ Identify and resolve common problems involved in routine research assays.
+ Manage experiments from sample and reagent preparation to experimental testing and data collection.
+ Analyze data in terms of quality control and experimental diagnostics in preparation for statistical analysis.
+ Record sample information and results to guarantee quality of experimentation.
+ Track supply inventories and ensure availability of reagents and material.
+ Carry out routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
+ Ensure laboratory efficiency by following protocols for lab cleanliness, organization and safety regulations.
+ May scientifically contribute to writing of manuscripts and grants.
+ Process analyzed data into figures for scientific publications.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in cardiac organoids.

Starting Salary Range: $15.70 - $26.25 HRLY ($43,680 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
