The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) in Pasadena, CA, is looking for a Quantum Research Scientist Intern in the Test and Measurement group. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, all working at the forefront of quantum computing to innovate for the benefit of our customers.

You should have knowledge of experimental measurement techniques, and how to develop and automate them in software, towards improving the performance of quantum processors on the path towards delivering a fault-tolerant quantum computer.

Key job responsibilities
As an intern with the Test and Measurement you may collaborate with device theorists to understand the fundamental limits of gate and readout performance, develop novel multi-qubit calibration and optimization routines and test them on our quantum processors, collaborate with Software Development Engineers to automate these routines, or work with quantum error correction theorists to evaluate and improve the logical performance of these processors.

You should thrive in ambiguous environments that require finding solutions to problems that have not been solved before. You leverage your exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of quantum hardware, and practical experience. Your strong communication skills enable you to work effectively with both business and technical partners.
