Job Summary

The Jones Lab is seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic and collaborative research team in a term-limited position. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigators and a post-doctoral fellow to support studies investigating neural and behavioral processes in zebrafish.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on training in zebrafish husbandry and cutting-edge imaging approaches. You will also have exposure to our ongoing computational collaboration with Howard University, where imaging data are integrated with advanced analysis pipelines to gain deeper insight into neural processes. The Jones Lab is committed to mentoring and supporting career development, including transitions to graduate or medical school. In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Desired Qualifications*Prior experience with zebrafish husbandry and breeding.Familiarity with microscopy (confocal, lightsheet, or fluorescence imaging).Comfort with quantitative data collection and image analysis software (e.g., ImageJ/Fiji).Modes of Work

Additional Information

This is a term-limited position through February 11, 2027. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits.  This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.

This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
