The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their part-time Research & Evaluation Intern position on the Research & Business Intelligence team. The intern will assist the Assistant Director of Grant Evaluation with research and evaluation tasks related to advanced manufacturing grant programs. The intern will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of public administration, grant evaluation, and research practices, contributing to efforts that impact the state of the workforce. This role offers exposure to: • Qualitative and quantitative design and program evaluation skills • Cross-college coordination with education and economic development partners • Data-informed decision-making, reporting, and continuous improvement • Real-world challenges facing public systems serving industry and jobseekers This position is located at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, Georgia, 30345. The intern will work between 16-30 hours per week at $15 per hour. This is a grant-funded position that will run through August 31, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES + Supports the design and implementation of evaluations for TCSG advanced manufacturing programs by assisting with data collection, documentation, and coordination activities. + Compiles, cleans, and organizes quantitative and qualitative data to support analysis of program outcomes, priorities, and goals. + Assists in preparing evaluation summaries, dashboards, and draft reports that highlight findings, trends, and areas for improvement. + Supports literature reviews and practice-based research by identifying sources, summarizing findings, and maintaining reference materials. + Coordinates with subject matter experts (SMEs), internal staff, and external partners to schedule meetings, document discussions, and track follow-up actions. + Assists with developing recommendations related to processes, procedures, interventions, programs, or policies by synthesizing research and evaluation findings. + Helps ensure reports and deliverables are prepared in requested formats and submitted within established timelines. + Supports strategic planning efforts by documenting workflows, identifying potential duplication of processes, and assisting with process improvement initiatives. + Maintains organized records of program activities, evaluations, reports, and related documentation. + Tracks updates to policies, procedures, and applicable state or federal laws affecting advanced manufacturing initiatives and flags relevant changes for management review. + Provides regular status updates to supervisors on assigned tasks, projects, and evaluation activities. + Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. (Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration, Communications, etc.) TECHNICAL COMPENTENCIES • Decision making and problem-solving skills • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public • Critical thinking skills • Oral and written communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK CONDITIONS · Work is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours.
