Research Engineer

This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that power clinical and financial reporting. The Research Engineer will extract and integrate data from diverse clinical systems-including Epic Clarity, third-party APIs, and other sources-using SQL,Python, and additional programming languages as needed. They will ensure seamless integration of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into Snowflake environments. Familiarity with REDCap databases is a plus. This position plays a key role in organizing, managing, and optimizing the organization's data ecosystem. Ultimately, it enables enhanced decision-making across clinical operations and research. **A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 5:00pm. No weekends or holidays.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Analyze, investigate and plan specific engineering criteria, characteristics and features to meet assignment goals. + Perform routine engineering investigations in support of current research or product development efforts using engineering software analysis tools. + Prepare design sketches or drawings for components, sub-assemblies, processes or equipment using CAD or 3-D solid modeling software. + Assist with the design, development, and evaluation of prototype medical devices, equipment, and software. + Assist with the preparation and evaluation of test protocols and test specimens. + Prepare charts, graphs and documentation in support of articles for publication, project reports and grant applications. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of Science in biomedical, mechanical or electrical engineering or in a related field Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Previous experience and completion of a co-op or internship **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods + Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information + Ability to distinguish color + Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment + Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds + May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
