Research Associate (full-time)
The Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology Lab is hiring one full-time research associate to work with Dr. Gerald Voelbel in the Department of Occupational Therapy, New York University on a project that studies brain repair post traumatic brain injury. The research associate will interact with study participants and other members of the research team. Responsibilities include: + Develop and maintain research protocol + Schedule, coordinate and administer intervention + Maintain participant activity records + Interact with individuals with disabilities + Conduct data entry and analysis + Perform literature reviews and prepare materials for grant applications + Support preparation of presentations and research reports + Maintain IRB documents and assist with IRB submissions The position does not include any supervisory responsibilities. The job duties for this position are highly local in nature and require onsite presence to be performed. Due to study participants being recruited in different time zones, the incumbent will be expected to work some evening and weekend hours. This full-time (35 hours/week) appointment is expected to begin on October 1, 2025 and ends on August 31, 2026. It may be renewed contingent on performance and availability of funds. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
