Job Title Research Associate Agency Texas A&M University Department Health And Kinesiology Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description What we want The Research Associate is responsible for preparing materials and supplies needed to carry out specific aims of the research protocol developed by the Directors of the Center for Translational Research in Aging & Longevity. Will coordinate sample management and analytical chemistry sample analysis within a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory. Will work on ongoing translational research investigating nutrition, exercise, and metabolism in relation to aging and the common diseases of our aging population. The focus is on investigating the role of certain macronutrients, the small molecules that make up the building blocks of the proteins, fats and sugars in metabolism. May travel as required. This position is grant funded which is renewed under the provisions of the grantor of the agreement. Qualifications Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Two years of related experience in a specialized and relevant field of research Required Licenses and Certifications + May vary depending on the area of research.
