Job Title: Research Assistant - Chemist

Job Description

Become a Research Assistant and play a crucial role in performing biological extractions on samples such as urine, blood, and plasma. Initially, you will focus on wet lab extractions, progressing to LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) after training on instrumentation. Your responsibilities will also include running robotics for liquid handling and utilizing lab equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes. You will work under GLP regulations and use software like eWorkbook, with each chemist equipped with a tablet.

ResponsibilitiesPerform biological extractions on various samples including urine, blood, and plasma.Focus on wet lab extractions, transitioning to LC-MS after training.Operate robotics for liquid handling.Utilize lab equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes.Work under GLP regulations and maintain accurate records using eWorkbook software.Essential SkillsB.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Science degree.1-2 years of experience in a chemistry lab.Proficiency in HPLC and experience or willingness to learn other chromatography techniques.Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.Ability to work effectively as a team player.Additional Skills & QualificationsMass Spec experience is advantageous.Experience in food service, bartending, or client-facing roles is beneficial for fast-paced environments.Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure.High ownership and responsibility for personal work and error recognition.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
