Job Summary

Seeking a Research Area Specialist to join the team of Dr. Lisa Prosser at the Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research Center, Department of Pediatrics. The Research Area Specialist will have the opportunity to provide research support on projects focusing on a wide variety of policy-relevant topics, including COVID-19 and other vaccine-preventable illnesses focusing on economic evaluation, public preference valuation, and health policy analysis. 

Duties include conducting literature reviews, preparing tables and figures, assisting with presentations and manuscripts, fielding surveys, basic statistical analyses, and assisting with the development of decision analytic models. This position is an excellent opportunity for those interested in continuing their research career in a collaborative environment as well as students interested in furthering their research experience during a gap year. Position is term-limited for 1 year, with he possibility of extension depending on research funding.

Additional Information

This is a term-limited appointment ending after one year. There is a possibility of extension based on research funding. At the end of the stated term, the appointment will terminate, and you will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
