All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.\nSummer projects may include the following responsibilities:\n•\tExecute experimental plans, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports and product summaries.\n•\tInvestigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.\n•\tPartner with other R&D functions including Product Development, Molecular Biology, Data Analytics, and/or Chemistry in the development of new technologies, the commercialization of new products, or analysis of product performance.\n•\tLearn continuous improvement methodologies (i.e., PPI, Six Sigma, and others) and help promote improvement initiatives.\n\nStart Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 11th or June 15th, 2026 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars. \n\nCompensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Research & Development internships offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $28.75 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.\n\nHow will you get here?\n•\tUndergraduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree between December 2026 and June 2027.\n•\t0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.\n•\tConsistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.\n•\tEnergized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.\n•\tExcellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.\n\nIf this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!\nTo qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $14.75–$28.75.
