Job Description:
.The Reporting Engineer will be an integral part of the Project Controls department, responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust reporting systems and dashboards to provide clear, concise, and actionable insights into project performance for NEOM The Line. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools, particularly Power BI, to support informed decision-making and ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive project reports, dashboards, and presentations using Power BI and other relevant tools, catering to various stakeholder needs (e.g., executive management, project managers, clients).
Collaborate with project controls specialists (Planners, Cost Controllers, Risk Analysts) to gather data requirements and ensure accuracy and consistency of reported information.
Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various project management systems (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, SharePoint, internal databases) to ensure timely and efficient report generation.
Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, variances, potential risks, and opportunities related to project schedule, cost, and progress.
Develop and implement data quality control procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of all reported data.
Provide training and support to project team members on reporting tools and best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls processes and reporting methodologies.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required by project leadership.
Ensure all reporting activities comply with Parsons' standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a reporting or data analysis role within a project controls environment, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
Proven expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, report design, and dashboard creation.
Strong understanding of project controls principles, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and earned value management.
Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA is a plus).
Experience with other reporting tools or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a significant advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding project environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on mega-projects in the Middle East.
Certifications in Project Management (PMP) or Project Controls (e.g., AACE International) are a plus.
