Inspects, receiving inspection, hidden inspection, in-process inspections, electrical tests, electrical / mechanical troubleshooting, audits, and final inspection on used/repaired articles coming from customers for repair and Return to service 8130-3's. This position also creates, updates teardown inspection reports, audit work packages and issues Return to Service FAA Form 8130-3's for repair articles. This job reports to the Chief Inspector and/or Accountable Manager.
• Inspect all used/repair parts and assemblies in accordance with the customers repair orders, Airworthiness Directives (AD's) Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM's), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM's), Service Bulletins (SB's), Customer Data systems and Capability List.
• Perform receiving inspection, hidden inspection, in process inspections, electrical tests, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and final inspection as required.
• Trouble shoot to determine exact cause(s) of failure(s).
• Record defects on the teardown reports, work orders, and sign appropriate documents as required.
• Comply with FAA/EASA/CAAC/CAA regulations, Customer and Safran Cabin procedures as required.
• Inspection of incoming units that have been repair by approved repair suppliers to ensure proper paperwork is received, complete and parts conform the technical data.
• Inspection of incoming new parts to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order.
• Issue repair FAA Form 8130-3 for parts / assemblies that have the repairs item(s) repaired and ready to return to service.
• Ability to effectively use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., and accomplish inspection of parts and assemblies.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English language.
• Electrical Crimping, Soldering and Troubleshooting Skills a plus, but not required for mechanical positions.
The expected salary range for this position is between $24.35/hr- $38.27/h USD.
**Job Requirements**
Level 3 Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years.
Computer Skills: Intermediate skills with Microsoft office: Windows Operating System®, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior use of and advanced abilities within an ERP system.
Other Skills:
• Thorough repair electro-mechanical assembly knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Read and understand CMM', AMM's, SB's, AD's and drawings, customers technical publications, regulatory requirements and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of the product and attention to details.
• Training skills for both class room and OJT training.
• Ability to handle and schedule multiple projects, schedule and assignments with the inspection team.
• Identify problems and solve them independently, work with no supervision.
Preferred Skills (not required):
• 2-year technical degree
• FAA Airframes and Power Plant License (A&P License).
• Experience working in a repair station or aerospace manufacturing environment.
