Rental Coordinator

Red-D-Arc is a subsidiary of Airgas, an Air Liquide company, and a leading provider of welding equipment rentals in North America. Red-D-Arc rents, leases and sells welders, welding automation equipment and other welding-related and specialty products, including power generators as well as equipment for heat treating and dry ice blasting

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the incumbent assists with the daily operations of the branch and ensures rental equipment is available for orders.

Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines. 

Provides excellent customer service to all accounts. 

Provides follow-up to leads that are sent to the area via Web, Associations, etc.       

Provides timely follow-up to customer’s requests.    

Ensures walk in customers are handled in a timely manner including equipment returns.          

Processes credit card charges. 

Communicates daily with Outside Sales Associate on inquiries and/or orders received.

Prepares quotes for outside sales and fax to clients as required. 

Coordinates equipment requirements for efficient order fulfillment and cost containment. 

Plans and directs customer orders with the service department. 

Communicates with the service department and/or shop supervisor in regards to equipment shipments and arranges orders for shipment. 

Ensures proper generation of rental agreements and associated documents.                                                                      

Arranges freight and transportation.

Assists with vendor purchasing.  

Assists with parts and equipment inventories.

Performs other related duties as required.

Education

Post secondary education equivalent to a College diploma.

Experience

Greater than three years of customer service in an industrial/rental environment is preferred.

Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding applications and equipment is an asset.

Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.

Sales experience in either an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales or rental environment (ideally construction, fabrication, and/or manufacturing sectors) an asset.

Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.

Ability to act proactively or find a solution with work-related problems.

Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions.

Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Communicates with clarity, verbally in one on one or group situations, and over the telephone.

Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents.
