Role description:
The Renewable Project Cost Estimator will be responsible for developing detailed, accurate and competitive cost estimates for Aggreko’s hybrid power proposals and provide precontract award managerial support. This includes working with the Energy Solutions team to conceptualize hybrid power solutions and proceed to develop detailed accurate capital cost estimates for complete hybrid power stations, potentially inclusive of a diesel or gas power station, solar farm, Battery Energy Storage System or Wind farm. The role will also include management work as required for project early works agreements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research and analysis to estimate the cost of materials, labour, equipment, and other resources required for each project
Gather and analyse actual costs from projects under construction and recently completed
Run tender processes to select project suppliers and subcontractors
Contribute to the value assessment of new renewable energy technologies
Provide detailed and accurate project cost estimates on schedule
Continuously improve the cost estimation process in accuracy and efficiency by incorporating feedback and best practices
Develop Scope of Works to form an integral part of construction sub-contractor contracts
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience in Project Cost Estimating, coming from a renewables energy, construction, electrical estimating or similar industry
Ideally possess experience (local or overseas) with a solar farm developer, a solar farm contractor, a battery contractor or with a general construction contractor on major renewable energy projects
Experience with Project Management and delivery
Experience in the development of detailed, accurate project capital costs
Able to identify and challenge ways of working that impact efficient performance delivery and influence stakeholders to initiate changes
Able to work in a geographically dispersed global organisation
High level of credibility and ability on dealing with sensitive information
Demonstrate a high level of accountability
