Remote Top Secret Process Improvement Specialist
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a qualified Process Improvement Specialist to support a DOD customer. As the Process Improvement Specialist, you will serve as a principal agent of change and transformation within the Department of Defense (DoD), spearheading large-scale initiatives to analyze, redesign, and optimize complex business processes that underpin the security cooperation mission. Leveraging your advanced expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and other proven frameworks, you will drive organizational modernization by implementing data-driven analysis and innovative solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in championing a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and measurable advancement, ensuring the organization’s ability to deliver on critical DoD and international partnership objectives. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include: • Lead strategic analysis and comprehensive redesign of DoD business processes supporting security cooperation, transformation, and modernization objectives; utilize advanced process mapping and diagnostic tools to uncover inefficiencies and design actionable solutions. • Drive high-impact, enterprise-wide transformation projects, collaborating with senior DoD leadership to build consensus, foster alignment, and ensure successful adoption of strategic change initiatives. • Design, implement, and sustain data-driven improvement initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and AI tools to identify performance gaps, develop predictive insights, and deliver sustainable process enhancements. • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions across the DoD enterprise, aligning diverse teams around shared objectives and cultivating collaborative partnerships that drive mission success. • Championing a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring teams, promoting best practices, and leading training initiatives that embed operational excellence and innovation throughout the organization. • Implement and sustain process improvement frameworks—such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile—and establish performance measurement systems to track progress against defined benchmarks, ensuring accountability and continuous advancement. Skills and Requirements • Active Top Secret Clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline • Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience leading large-scale process improvement or transformation projects, preferably in DoD or federal environments. • Demonstrated mastery of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or comparable process improvement frameworks (Black Belt or higher strongly preferred). • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage multiple, concurrent transformation initiatives. • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and strategic problem-solving skills; ability to manage change, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver results in complex, fast-paced environments. • Knowledge of federal regulations and proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Visio, and SharePoint are highly desirable.
