Remote Solutions Architect
Job Description A client of Insight Global's is seeking a Remote Senior-Level Solution Architect to provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural direction for a large-scale data modernization effort. The ideal candidate is an experienced systems thinker who can translate complex mission needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions. This role includes leadership and individual contributor responsibilities to develop a data-centric processing and analytics environment that integrates diverse data sources, supports advanced automation, and operates within highly regulated cloud environments. The Senior Solution Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, data, and DevSecOps engineers to ensure the architecture meets operational, security, and compliance requirements while enabling continuous innovation. Beyond project execution, this individual will serve as a technical leader within the company, contributing to business development efforts, identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies, and helping shape the company’s technology strategy and solution portfolio Key Responsibilities: • Translate mission and user needs into technical designs, guiding development teams through implementation, integration, testing, and deployment. • Architect and implement data-centric, event-driven systems for ingesting, processing, and analyzing complex data sets across distributed components. • As an individual contributor, develop technical solutions across the application, data, and integration layers, unifying external systems and data sources including APIs, legacy systems, and COTS/GOTS tools into a cohesive system. • Design and maintain DevSecOps pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to automate secure, reproducible deployments for multi-component systems. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across Agile teams, promoting best practices in software engineering, security, and data management. • Advance innovation and technology strategy by contributing to business development materials, identifying emerging technologies, and collaborating with leadership to create a technical roadmap. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field. • 10+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack or data systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role. • Experience serving as technical advisor capable of influencing customer decision-making and guiding solution development. • Demonstrated success leading Agile development teams and mentoring technical staff. • Demonstrated experience implementing cloud-native architectures, preferably within AWS GovCloud or other regulated environments. • Ability to design and deploy event-driven, data-centric systems using services such as AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, DynamoDB, and S3, or similar alternatives. • Strong background in DevSecOps practices, including automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform), and containerization. • Solid understanding of security and compliance frameworks, including NIST 800-53 and the RMF processes. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers, engineers, and leadership
