Remote Pharmacy Technician
Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking experienced Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be reviewing Prior Authorizations for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. You will be responsible for approving or denying prior authorizations and forwarding them to a pharmacist for final review. Responsibilities + Handling all health plans and all types of medications. + Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and conducting member and physician outreach. + Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system. + Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues. + Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or direction on processing. + Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls. Requirements + Nationally Certified Technician (Preferred) + Pharmacy State Registration + High School diploma or GED. + Strong computer skills Skills + Experience with prior authorization processes. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. + Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings. Work Environment We are seeking candidates who thrive in a structured remote work setting. This role involves multitasking across multiple screens and systems, so strong technical proficiency and attention to detail are essential. Work Requirements: + A reliable high-speed WiFi connection + A dedicated home office space with a door for privacy Schedule + Availability Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (In your time zone) for an assigned 8-hour shift + Willingness to work rotating weekends every 4–6 weeks and some holidays Training Schedule: + Training hours are10:00 AM – 6:30 PM EST Equipment Provided: + Company-issued computer, monitor, and headset Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
